NEW YORK (AP) — Former football star Michael Strahan is leaving the daily talk show he co-hosts with Kelly Ripa to work full-time on "Good Morning America."
ABC said Tuesday that a search for Strahan's replacement will begin in the fall. The former New York Giant was selected in 2012 to replace Regis Philbin as Ripa's co-host on the talk show, which airs at 9 a.m. in most markets.

Philipsburg man charged with rape after sexually assaulting child, police say
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A Philipsburg man is facing sexual assault charges after forcing a child to perform sex acts with him Oct. 15, police say.
According to a criminal complaint, David Heck, 18, was spotted by two witnesses in the woods naked with the child.
Police said the witnesses noticed Heck was masturbating over the child and asked what they were doing.

Richland Township man accused of choking, raping woman during domestic dispute
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Cambria County say a Richland Township man is behind bars following accusations that he physically and sexually assaulted a woman during a domestic dispute.
According to the affidavit, Richland Township police were contacted on Monday to investigate an alleged assault that had occurred earlier that morning.
Police say the victim told officers that she had been in an argument with 22-year-old Logan Moore at his residence along Theatre Drive.

Cincinnati family honors late mother by creating care packages for chemotherapy patients
CINCINNATI (WKRC) — A local family honored their mother’s battle with cancer by giving out free care packages.
They collected comfort items and delivered them to others undergoing chemotherapy.
Mother’s Day now has a different meaning for the Sunday family.
Their mom Teri died of metastatic breast cancer in 2021.
The family said she always had her chemo bag to make things easier.

Police arrest Altoona man wanted for attempted shooting at child's birthday party
Altoona, PA (WJAC) — An Altoona man wanted for attempting to shoot another man at a child's birthday party earlier this year is now in custody, according to online court records.
Altoona police say 33-year-old Charles Mobley faces numerous charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault and robbery, from the April 23 incident.
Authorities say Mobley was reportedly uninvited to the party due to a prior incident with the victim.

Windber community dresses up as ghosts to set world record
WINDBER -- If you were driving through Windber in Somerset County Saturday afternoon, you may have noticed dozens of people draped in white sheets near the side of the road.
That's because more than 200 people attempted to break a Guinness world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as ghosts.
The record was first by Sony Pictures in Singapore in June 2016 when 263 people were dressed as ghosts as a part of a red-carpet event for the movie Ghostbusters.

Cambria County nurse receives award for outstanding patient care
A Cambria County nurse received an excellence award Friday.
DaVita Kidney Care presented Abby Salvador with a Daisy Award for extraordinary nurses at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center's Atrium.
Salvador was nominated for the award by fellow coworkers and patients for her outstanding and compassionate care.
She moved to the area from the Philippines and had to work hard to adjust from her training there to be successful now.
